RACE COURSE
Ten kilometers to experience Padua in a unique guise: that of the night. The first Padova Night Run will start from the heart of the Fair, in its central avenue, and will lead runners along a route that combines parks, embankments, historic streets and iconic squares.
After the first meters between the Fair pavilions and the passage inside Parco Europa, you walk along the Piovego along the pedestrian walkway, among lights and reflections of water, and then enter the city from Via Altinate and reach Via Santa Sofia. From here, the race immerses itself in history: Via San Francesco, the passage next to the Basilic of Saint Anthony, the Botanical Garden, until it emerges in Prato della Valle, one of the most fascinating settings in the world.
The return passes through the shopping and city life streets: Via Umberto I, Via Roma, Piazza Cavour, Via Cavour, Piazza Garibaldi, and then returns towards Porta Altinate and Piazza Eremitani. An evocative passage in the Arena Gardens, exceptionally open for the transit of the Night Run, and on the pedestrian bridge of the old gasometer mark the last part of the race, which takes the runners back towards Piovego, Parco Europa and finally to the finish line in the Fair.
A route that combines greenery, water, architecture and monumental squares: at night, with the pace of the race, Padua lights up with new energy.
The race runs through the most fascinating part of the city, touching Piazza dei Signori, Piazza della Frutta, passing alongside the Caffè Pedrocchi, the Palazzo del Bo and in front of the Basilica of Sant’Antonio, emblem of Christianity. Finally, it flows into the beautiful scenery offered by Prato della Valle, one of the most evocative in the world.
