What is the minimum age to participate?
18 years (reached by the year of the event) – 20 years for RUNCARD holders
What do I need to register?
The race iso open to all athletes who hold one of the following cards:
- FIDAL
- RUNCARD + Competitive medical certificate for athletics (valid on the date of the event)
- RUNCARD EPS + Competitive medical certificate for athletics (valid on the date of the event)
- WORLD ATHLETICS (for foreigners)
How can I get a RUNCARD?
To subscribe to the RUNCARD you can connect to the website www.runcard.com, follow the online procedure and pay by credit card.
Can I register even if I don't have the RUNCARD and the competitive medical certificate for athletics yet?
Yes. In the meantime, you can register online or send us the registration form completed and signed with attached copy of the payment and then, as soon as you have it, send the copy of the certificate and the card details.
The race is open also to foreign athletes residing abroad without membership nor health certificate, who intend to participate as non-competitive runners.
Is it valid a medical certificate that doesn’t say "Athletics"?
No. According to Federal regulations, the medical certificate must be specific for “Athletics”.
Can I register even if I haven't renewed the FIDAL/World Athletics membership yet?
Yes. However, the FIDAL/World Athletics membership must be renewed by the date of the event.
I am registered with a Sports Promotion Acency, is that enough?
No. According to Federal regulations, you must hold a FIDAL, RUNCARD or WORLD ATHLETICS card (for foreigners) in order to participate in competitions.
How can I register for the marathon?
You can sign up in one of the following ways:
- Download, fill in and sign the registration form (downloadable from the website www.padovamarathon.com to the page “Fees and registration methods”) and send it with a copy of the payment and the competitive medical certificate for athletics (for non FIDAL members) by mail to iscrizioni@padovamarathon.com.
- On-line from the website www.padovamarathon.com (always on the page “Fees and registration”) paying by credit card.
- Personally at Assindustria Sport office at Stadium Daciano Colbachini (Piazzale Azzurri d’Italia, 35134 Padua) from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm.
How much the registration costs?
- € 28,00 from 26/06/2025 to 30/09/2025 – Early Bird
- € 32,00 from 01/10/2025 to 20/12/2025
- € 40,00 from 21/12/2025 to 20/02/2026
- € 45,00from 21/02/2026 to 10/04/2026
- € 55,00 at the EXPO according to race bibs’ availability
- Disabled athletes: € 18,00 until 10/04/2026

Special Offers
- WOMEN: € 28,00 from 26/06/2025 to 30/09/2025, then fixed fee € 32,00 until 10/04/2026
- CLUB: every 10 entries sent by the same club or sports group, 1 of them is FREE. Registrations must be sent at the same time complete with all data and payment.

How can I pay for my registration?
You can pay in one of the following ways:
- Online by credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.

When do the registrations close?
It is possible to register until 10/04/2026. At the Expo according to race bibs availability.
What the participation fee includes?
The participation fee includes:
- race bib
- official t-shirt
- insurance and medical assistance during the event
- refreshments and sponges along the route, according to FIDAL regulations
- race goody bag
- refreshment at the end of the race
- official programme and informative material
- transport of personal clothing from departure to arrival
- pre-race and post-race transport by shuttle bus, from the car parks set up by the organization
- chip attached to the bib
- diploma of participation downloadable from the marathon site
- official medal
Are there any starting grids?
The race-bib numbers will be automatically assigned on the basis of the best personal time achieved in the last two years, declared at the time of registration.

If I am unable to participate, can I get a refund?
In case of non-participation in the competition, the registration fees are NOT refundable. However, for the athlete unable to take part in the marathon or half marathon is possible to:
- Transfer the registration to the Padova Marathon 2027 after written communication to the organization by e-mail to the address iscrizioni@padovamarathon.com by 10/04/2026. The confirmation of registration to the edition 2027 will be subject to the payment of € 10,00 for secretarial rights to be paid after the event together with the registration form 2027.
- Transfer the registration to another person (who must hold a regular Fidal/World Athletics membership card or Runcard + regular medical certificate) by written communication to iscrizioni@padovamarathon.com by 10/04/2026 and upon payment of € 10,00 for secretarial rights (IBAN: IT 95 Z 02008 12100 000104650252 account holder Assindustria Sport SSDARL – BIC/SWIFT code: UNCRITM1920, payment detail “name change…”).
Can I delegate another person to collect my bib?
It will be possible to delegate another person to collect the bib number, only if provided with a written authorization and copy of the identity document of the withdrawing athlete. In any case, we invite athletes to collect their race bib personally.
Which documents do I need to collect my bib?
To collect the race-bib the athlete will be asked to present a valid identity document and to show the e-mail with the bib number.
When can I pick up my race bib number?
More information will be available soon.
THE MORNING OF THE RACE
Can I register the morning of the race?
No. Registrations close on 10/04/2026. It will be possible to register at the Expo according to bib numbers availability.
Can I pick up my bib on the race day?
No, race bibs won’t be delivered on the race day.
Where and at what time the race starts?
9:45 am – Abano Terme – Via Del Santuario (locality Monteortone)
*Subject to different organisational requirements.
What time do I have to be at the starting area?
For the smooth running of the operations preceding the start all competitors are invited to reach the starting area of the half marathon by 8.45 am.
How can I reach the start?
A free shuttle service will be provided to reach the starting area of the half marathon at Abano Terme. The buses will start from:
- Padova Railway Station (departing from the main entrance at lane C) from 7.30am to 8.00am
- Park Guizza (Via Guizza – Tram terminal – direction south) from 7.45 am to 8.15 am – recommended service for easy parking
- Stadio Euganeo from 7.30 am to 8.00 am
- For the relatives who will accompany athletes at Abano Terme there will be a free shuttle service to Prato della Valle at 10.00 a.m. (departing from Gelateria delle Terme/ Ritz Hotel).
Are there any parking areas at the start line?
All athletes will receive, along with the bib, also the parking pass that, exposed on the dashboard inside the car, will allow them to leave the car free of charge in the following parks:
- in Abano Terme: (coming from North – Selvazzano Dentro, Tencarola): reserved parking in front of Gelateria delle Terme/ Ritz Hotel and parking along Via Monte Ricco and R. Agazzi square (until 8:30 a.m.) in Abano Terme (coming from South – Montegrotto): reserved parking at Via Brustolon (San Daniele zone) in Abano Terme: parking of Monteortone Stadium (until 8:00 a.m. and subject to availability)
- in Padua: APS car park in Via Guizza (Southern terminal of the tram) – starting point of the free shuttles to Abano Terme
The organization declines any responsibility for objects left unattended inside the cars.
Where can I leave my bag before the race?
At the start line, athletes can leave their personal belongings to the appropriate courier by 8.45 am after applying the sticker corresponding to their bib number that will be delivered with the technical envelope. They will be able to pick up their bag after their arrival, at the same trucks, in Prato della Valle only exhibiting their bib number.
Athletes are recommended to not put new and valuable items in the personal bag and to limit the amount of clothing to the minimum necessary for reasons of volume.
Personal bags will be handed out exclusively by exhibiting the race bib after the arrival.
DURING THE RACE
What is the maximum time to run the marathon?
The half marathon route will be closed to traffic for a maximum of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
There will be Pacers?
The Padova Marathon offers Pacer service, i.e. athletes in charge of running the marathon at a constant pace to get to the finish line in a set time.
HALF MARATHON: 1h30’- 1h40’- 1h45’- 1h50’ – 2h’- 2h15’
Where are located the refreshment and sponging points ?
The first refreshment will be located at km 5, the first sponge station at km 8.5, from there on there are refreshment and sponge stations coinciding with those of the marathon, or every 5 km along the route and after the finish line.
Where can I find medical and care services?
Along the way there are two hospitals (in Abano Terme and Padua) alerted during the event. Medical assistance will also be available along the route, including two medical motorbikes, coordinated by Suem 118.
Aside of the Health Service tent, at the finish line in Prato della Valle (Padova), a gazebo will be set up for medical information on marathon runners rescued by Suem 118 along the route.
Is there a shuttle service for pickups?
For athletes who retire, all the refreshment and sponge stations (starting from km 10) will serve as meeting points: from there they will be taken to the finish line in Prato della Valle, where they can pick up their personal belongings.
AFTER THE RACE
Where is the finish line?
The arrival of the marathon and half marathon is located in Prato della Valle in Padua.
Where and how do I return the chip?
Timekeeping is delivered by EvoData with the support of the Italian Timekeeping Federation. The timing measurement and ranking process will be carried out with MyLaps Bibtag system, based on a disposable chip that the athlete will find already sticked on the back of the bib. The chip will not be returned at the end of the race.
For each athlete will be recorded: the official time (from the shot to the finish), the net time (from the moment you cross the starting line to the finish).
Does everyone get a medal?
Yes. All athletes who cross the finish line will receive the official medal of participation.
Is it possible to use showers at the end of the race?
It will be possible to use the changing rooms and showers of the Appiani Stadium, the sports facility of Via Carducci near Prato della Valle.
Will there be the Pasta Party?
It will be possible to take part in the Pasta Party in Prato della Valle showing the voucher that athletes will find in the technical envelope.
Are there any transport service after the arrival?
After their arrival, athletes can take advantage of the following transport services:
- from Prato della Valle to Abano Terme (with in-between stop at Park Guizza): from 12.00 a.m. 4.00 p.m., departing every 30 minutes from Via Manzoni (500 mt after the finish line)
- from Prato della Valle to Euganeo Stadium (with in-between stop at Padova Railway Station from 12.00 a.m. 4.30 p.m. departing every 30 minutes from Via Manzoni (500 mt after the finish line)
Where can I find the rankings?
The rankings are available from the website www.padovamarathon.com by clicking on the button RESULTS.
How can I download my diploma?
It will be possible to download the diploma of participation in the Padua Marathon and Half Marathon from the website www.padovamarathon.com by clicking on the button RESULTS.
Will there be an award?
After the arrival, the first 3 male and female athletes classified according to the order of arrival will be awarded.
The Padova Marathon and Half Marathon Prizemoney is established according to IAAF, FIDAL, FISPES and the laws of the Italian State.
No prize money can be provided for athletes holders of RUNCARD and RUNCARD-EPS and belonging to the cathegories Beginners, Cadets, etc.
For the settlement of the prize money, as indicated in the rulebook, after the race the organization will send to the athletes a form that they must fill in with their personal data, the tax code and their bank details (including IBAN code).
Prizes will be paid by bank transfer within 90 days from the event.
