When, near the finish line, Prato della Valle opens up in front of you in all its magnificence, the emotion is indescribable. But it is not only the final stretch of the route that makes the Padova Marathon unique: it is its entire territory, background of the event.

The volcanic hills reclaimed by the monks, the suggestive entrance in Abano, where the thermal water gushes out since prehistoric times. And then the return through the most touristic part of the city, with the passage in front of the Basilica of Saint Anthony.

In the heart of the “beautiful Padua, cradle of the arts sung by Shakespeare.

It starts in the area of the Euganeo Stadium – already scene of several editions of the International Meeting of athletics – and, passing through Rubano, Selvazzano Dentro and Teolo, goes on towards the area of the Euganean Hills, reaching the center of Abano Terme, passes in front of the Kursaal and the historic Hotel dell’Orologio, to return to the Città del Santo (City of the Holy, i.e. Saint Anthony).

The return to Padua takes place crossing the Mandria and Via Goito. The entrance into the historic center, passing along Via Vescovado and Piazza del Duomo.
